The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at California State University San Marcos invites applications for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2025. We are looking for faculty with research expertise in cybersecurity and/or privacy and committed to quality education in cybersecurity. The successful candidate will be expected to implement evidencebased pedagogy in both undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity education establish and lead an active research program and contribute to services at the department college and university level.
The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems within the College of Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics is accredited by ABET and recognized by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAECD) Education. The Department currently has 16 tenuretrack and 12 adjunct faculty members offering accredited quality education to more than 1000 students in 5 bachelor degree programs (including a newly launched BS Cybersecurity) and 2 master programs.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $8375 $9583 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6221 $13224 per month
