Job Description

Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse (CCASA) is a dynamic agency that focuses on providing sexual violence counselling and education services to Calgary and surrounding areas. Working at CCASA means joining a team of passionate hardworking professionals who are committed to providing a healthy society that is respectful open and inclusive. As a Clinical Program Supervisor Therapists you will be one of two counselling program supervisors and will work closely with CCASAs supervisory team and the Director of Clinical Services to oversee the agencys counselling services. You will also provide individual and group counselling crisis intervention advocacy and referrals to clients accessing our services. The successful candidate will be an experienced innovative and flexible individual who is able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the clinical supervisory team.
This position is fulltime 35 hours/week) position with possibility of parttime 28 hours/week) and reports to the Director of Clinical Services. If you have a great attitude and possess an antioppressive/feminist analysis of sexual violence this may be the job for you.

Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Program Supervisor Therapists:
Directly supervise train mentor and support Sexual Violence Therapists and ensure appropriatelevel of staffing for the counselling program
Contribute to and maintain a positive and healthy work environment
Carry a partial caseload of clients providing trauma specialized counselling to individuals ages 12impacted by sexual violence
Assist other Clinical Program Supervisors in the recruitment mentoring onboarding and training ofnew staff
Examine difficult situations that arise through an ethical service delivery lens and work towardcreating solutions for challenging ethical areas
Assist with program development and with logistical and organizational tasks
Liaise with all CCASA Supervisors and Directors to help ensure proper linkages and policies occuracross programs and the agency
Assist with monitoring program outcomes and organizational report writing
Provide support and crisis intervention as needed as part of backup coverage for CCASAs Support &Information Line and Albertas One Line for Sexual Violence as well as to individuals accessing theCalgary Sexual Response Team (CSART)
*Successful candidates will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:
Masters level degree in Counselling or Social Work with a Clinical focus and a minimum of three to five years related work experience
Must hold active registration with a relevant governing body
Experience with clinical supervision (individuals and teams) an asset
Experience providing individual counselling including maintaining a clinical caseload
Experience providing crisis intervention
Experience conducting assessments (needs assessments risk assessments)
Experience working with the effects of sexual violence on individuals and communities
Possess an antioppressive/feminist analysis of sexual violence
Understanding of biopsychosocial causes and impacts of trauma
Ability to work and develop relationships with a wide range of people both within and outside of the organization
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to collaborate with various community and professional services
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong assessment skills
Strong research and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills
