Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Pharmacy Technicianat CMOP in Lancaster TX. Join our team as acivilian Pharmacy Technician and give back to our military community and their families.
Qualifications:
- Certified Technicians (CPhT) shall hold a current valid certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
- Noncertified technicians must have 6 months of experience (unless otherwise authorized by the respective CMOP) in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting; or be a graduate of an Academic Technician Training Educational Program. Not all pharmacy technicians will be required to be certified or registered (unless required by State Guidelines); however certification is highly encouraged as several processes and certain equipment will require certified technicians.
- Certified Technician (CPhT) with a current valid certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- The use of noncertified technicians to fill a Lead Pharmacy Technician position must be approved in writing by the CO.
- Have demonstrated experience or knowledge of inventory control warehouse operations and receiving processes
Core Duties:
- Prepares and dispenses medications and maintains related records for patients.
- Prepares packages labels and distributes medication doses prescribed by physician.
- Maintains inventories of and supplies stocking shelves rotating stock and checking expiration date of pharmaceuticals.
- Read computer screens use scanning equipment select specific /products required to fill an order by name strength and National Drug Code (NDC) number.
- Supervisory tasks include day to day administration of assigned operational area (production floor) and to coordinate activities with other productions areas.
- Orient new contract technicians and assist with the evaluating performance
Work Schedule:
- Monday Friday
- 2 shifts available
- 6:00 am 2:30 pm
- 3:30 pm 12:00 am
