JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary

Collaborate with the Captain of each flight in order to provide safe efficient and timely air transportation for employees and representatives of the company and their associates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for being Second in Command (SIC) for all flights (and all related competencies).
  • Verify aircraft is in compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Before each flight ensure all preflight inspections are performed. Verify aircraft databases are current. Review weight and balance fuel on board and aircraft performance.
  • Coordinate aircraft handling and fueling with Fixed Based Operators (FBOs) under the supervision of the Captain.
  • Prepare flight plans and evaluate weather conditions at destination as well as in route to ensure optimum safety. Make competent wellinformed decisions whether or not to proceed as planned divert delay or cancel flights.
  • Ensure the aircraft is always prepared for flight; that it is clean and supplied with all provisions necessary for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all passengers.
  • Coordinate travel needs such as catering services and ground transportation.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

Work Experience

  • Must have logged a minimum of 2500 flight hours with 500 flight hours in multiengine aircraft required
  • Must have logged 250 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) in turbinepowered aircraft required
  • Must meet all currency requirements regarding instrument flight time and night landings required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to: communicate effectively with flight department personnel company employees and their associates.
  • Ability to: communicate effectively with Air Traffic Control (ATC).
  • Ability to: think quickly and make decisions in difficult situations.
  • Ability to: remain calm under pressure.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
  • Commercial MultiEngine certificate with the ability to obtain an Airline Transport
  • Be able to maintain a First Class FAA medical certificate
  • Hold a Passport with the ability to travel to Canada
