Job Details
This person will assist our Research Agronomist and Precision Agronomy Logistics Specialist in implementing research trials. They will collect samples and data from individual trials inspect crops fly drones for NDVI images and maintain plot aesthetics. They will also help with MFA Training Camp (Field Day) and assist in largescale drone applications of fungicide across MFA trade territory.
Our expectations are that you:
- Are available and willing to work overtime (as needed)
- Are able to do heavy lifting loading climbing and bending 50100 pounds)
- Are willing to learn how to grid soil sample and the process of turning that data into variable rate fertilizer prescriptions
- Are able to travel
You are right for this role if you:
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills required for dealing with the public and private sector.
- Have excellent time management and interpersonal skills required.
- Have excellent PC skills including computer hardware Windows operating software Microsoft Word Excel Access and PowerPoint. (SST Summit will be taught)
- Are organized detail and goaloriented
- Are a motivated selfstarter
Highly qualified candidates will bring:
- Class E License required
- A farming mechanical and/or computer background (helpful)
CANDIDATE EXPECTED OUTCOME:
- Understand MFAs precision agronomy data management systems
- Understand trial setup and reasoning behind field research
- Greater understanding of MFA territory and our memberowners
