Job Description

What You Can Expect

As the Site Operations Manager for this 500 MW power plant situated near Rogers TX you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment training schedules safety and the daytoday financial operations of the site. In your capacity as lead of safety it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current valid and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. You will be tasked with the management of vendors subcontractors maintenance and consultants coordinating efforts with third parties. Additionally you will handle the troubleshooting of Balance of Plant (BOP) switchingLock Out Tag Out (LOTO) functions and communicate with landowners and local communities.

Your managerial role extends to leading a team comprising four technicians and indirectly overseeing a Regional Administrator. Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Renewables Council (NERC). Your responsibilities involve utilizing various computerbased systems ensuring the timely update and maintenance of all documentation. Collaboration with crossfunctional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status progress and development of various projects onsite.

  • Able to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar/storage site.
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills
  • Manages a safety program that complies with all Federal and State requirements ensuring the safe operation of the site regarding the public employees and equipment
  • Cooperates with internal and third parties regarding safety and regulatory compliance and responds to their recommendations in a timely manner

What Youll Bring

  • High school diploma/ technical degree or equivalent education where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership management communication organizational operational and prioritization skills
  • Must have five 5 years experience in a related industry where you have experience with industrial electrical equipment power generations thermal generations line and utility scale equipment
  • Minimum of two 2 years of experience in leadership or supervisory role of technical operations or maintenance personnel
  • Working knowledge of wind power generating equipment and technologies and substations to identify categorize and troubleshoot
  • Must be physically capable of entering and working in a confined space (crawl spaces shafts small enclosed areas) as well as work at various heights and in adverse conditions during operations shutdowns and in fire/emergency activities
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and fullface respirators fall protection equipment hardhat safety shoes safety glasses
  • Knowledge of using equipment suitable for lifting up to 50 lbs if necessary


Additional Details

  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions to support other sites.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIEs policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • The position consists of 50 work indoors and 50 work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
  • Could involve some lifting / up to 50 lbs

Compensation
Salary Range: $86490 $147660 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography experience industry knowledge education internal pay alignment or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
