Job Description

PE Teacher Sutton Secondary School Inspire a Love of Sport!

Calling all enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teachers!

Are you a passionate PE Teacher with a drive to inspire young people to lead active and healthy lives is a thriving secondary school in Sutton committed to providing a highquality physical education that develops students physical literacy teamwork skills and love of sport.

We are seeking an outstanding PE Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role you will:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities and interests fostering a love of sport and physical activity in our students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported in their PE lessons.
  • Teach a variety of sports and activities promoting physical literacy and developing students skills and confidence.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in PE providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and departmental resources ensuring that our teaching remains current and engaging.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs and activities providing opportunities for students to participate in competitive sport and develop their leadership skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of PE teaching.

We are looking for a PE Teacher who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching PE at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for PE.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for PE and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • A strong understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures.
