Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for a 13week travel/contract assignment in Utica New York. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12hour variable shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2160 $2448
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill newborns in a 13bed NICU 8 private rooms & overflow).
- Maintain an RNtopatient ratio of 1:13 based on patient acuity.
- Monitor infants vital signs oxygen levels and developmental progress.
- Administer medications IV therapy and nutrition support per physician orders.
- Work with neonatologists respiratory therapists and lactation consultants to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate and support families through the NICU journey.
- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient tracking.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in NICU (Level II or III experience is mandatory).
- Licensure: Active RN License in New York (or compact state).
Certifications:
- BLS & NRP (Required)
- PALS & STABLE (Required before start; willingness to obtain must be stated if not held).
- Epic Experience: Required.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 75mile radius qualify for travel pay.
