Sports Court Technician
Members of the Beaverbrook Tennis team work together to clean and maintain a
variety of sports courts: tennis pickle ball basketball running tracks roller
hockey and such. Many of these facilities are outdoor venues. We repair cracks
and lowspots to keep the facility safe and attractive. We apply acrylic coatings in
a variety of color schemes to protect the asphalt base. We also layout and paint
desired game lines. In addition we install necessary nets posts and game
equipment to set up the facility.
Some of our work is on clay courts. In the spring we recondition the surface
smooth it and add an annual top dressing before installing the line tapes nets
posts and accessories. Then in late summer/early fall we return to close these
courts by removing the line tapes nets posts windscreens brooms and such.
Some of these courts also have protective covers for the winter months that we
reuse from year to year.
At Beaverbrook Tennis we take pride in our work and our appearance. We would
expect all technicians to participate in keeping our work areas and equipment neat
clean and functional. Our shop is organized so that we can easily find the
necessary tools and materials needed for each project.
Our work is very unique yet similar to what a landscape worker might do.
Attention to detail is a critical part of our work.
There is often overtime available to meet customer demand. Bonuses and pay raises are given on a merit
basis.
