Job Description

The EHS Manager coordinates implementation of the site EHS plan in accordance with company policies and procedures; provides information to the Project Director/Manager Construction Manager and Superintendents regarding best safety practices and company health and safety plan. This role also provides safety practices and policy training to appropriate site personnel.

This position requires the candidate to be present on job sites in the Columbus OH area during the weekdays.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior management to ensure organizations OSHA compliance
  • Implement OSHA programs
  • Manage emergency response incidents
  • Implement corrective actions
  • Conduct or lead training in applicable OSHA areas
  • Evaluate programs and issue recommendations and implement change
  • Implementation of the site EHS plan in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Provides safety practices and policy training to appropriate site personnel

Qualifications :

  • Associates degree in Occupational Safety Health and/or Environmental from an accredited college or university required; Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications

  • ASP CSP CIH CFPS or CHMM certification highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication tact and diplomacy when working with individuals at all organizational levels from field staff to corporate management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to evaluate and implement effective solutions.
  • Selfmotivated team player capable of working independently and driving results.
  • Proficiency in mobile devices and mobile forms for tracking and reporting purposes.
