Masters degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. Experience managing an environmental education program particularly teacher workshops and volunteers Demonstrated ability to lead and evaluate a program Project management and administration skills Knowledge of environmental education natural resources and environmental issues Ability to work independently with direction Ability to work with diverse groups and teams including faculty and volunteers Supervisory skills Event planning and coordination for workshops and conferences Excellent oral and written communication skills for traditional and online delivery (websites newsletters and social media) Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills Database management skills and organizational ability Fundraising (developing proposals building relationships with funders and producing results) skills are essential; successful track record is desired Knowledge of Floridas educational reform efforts; adult education and training; and education program development and evaluation preferred. |
