The Leave Specialist will handle all aspects of LOAs including communication with employees approve FMLA leaves; manage workers compensation claims; track COVID activity and provide notifications; and accommodations for leave situations
- Management of all Leave of Absence in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.
- Management of Employee Accommodations requests and responses.
- To effectively manage workers compensation claims.
- To effectively manage COVID19 tracking and HR processes.
Qualifications :
MUST HAVE:
- 4year degree in Human Resources or related field
- 24 years of except level human resources experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have strong computer skills to work in multiple systems including but not limited to HRIS ATS and LMS.
NICE TO HAVE:
- PHR or SHRMCP or SHRMSCP
- Completion of specialized certification or training on FMLA/leave administration a plus
Additional Information :
SKILLS CRUCIAL TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:
- Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA ADA and other applicable laws.
- Human Resources experience with companies supporting 1000 employee workforces
- Communication is another important skill for a leave administrator. You may be in charge of communicating with employees about their leave requests communicating with managers about employee absences and communicating with other administrators about leave policies.
- You can also use problemsolving skills to help employees find solutions to challenges they may be facing in their personal lives.
