Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety policies programs procedures
- Complete health & safety prestart checklists
- Ensure product being produced meets established quality specifications
- Document quality checks at regular intervals
- Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
- Operate counterbalance propanepowered forklift
- Document production numbers items contributing to downtime (using computerized system called PRODAC as well as handwritten production reports)
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- General housekeeping duties
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of counterbalance forklift operating experience (Recommended)
- Experience in heavyindustrial manufacturing construction or similar industry preferred
- Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Fluent in verbal and written English
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
- Must be ableto work at heights and in confined spaces
PPE includes hard hat safety footwear safety glasses gloves hearing protection face mask and face shield. Some tasks require wearing N95 mask (fit testing required) where candidate must be clean shaven.
