JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Molding Machine Operator I
Department: Plant Wide

POSITION SUMMARY:
Sets up and operates a machine in order to shape composites. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately according to specifications and in a timely fashion. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonlyused concepts practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Read blueprints and diagrams to accurately set up a molding machine
Operate the machine so that the result is within tolerance and is produced in the allotted amount of time
Report mechanical or safety issues to management promptly
Attend work on a regular and predictable basis
Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness
Uphold company policies including the antiharassment program
Work in a cooperative manner with managers supervisors coworkers customers and the public
Uphold the highest standards of integrity honesty and ethical behavior
Work effectively and efficiently under production deadlines
MACHINES TOOLS EQUIPMENT WORK AIDES:

Over head hoist or crane
Hours worked
This position is typically and 810 hour shift with a forty hour work week. The position covers all shifts. Some overtime may be required to meet production demands.
Minimum Education:
High school or GED
Minimum Experience:
Entry level position
Necessary Skills:
High school level computer skills
High School level math skills
High school level verbal and written communication skills English primary
Protective Clothing:
Safety glasses hearing protection and steel toed shoes Some tasks may require gloves. All protective equipment required by company policy and/or State law.
