Job Description

Hire Resolves client in the construction industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Quantity Surveyor in Midrand Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all contractual and financial aspects of the project under the FIDIC contract.
  • Ensure compliance with COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
  • Prepare and monitor project cost estimates budgets and cash flows.
  • Conduct cost analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with the projects contractual obligations.
  • Review and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
  • Measure and value variations and claims.
  • Coordinate with engineers project managers and site teams for cost control.
  • Conduct risk analysis and identify potential financial risks.
  • Prepare and review procurement strategies and subcontractor agreements.
  • Manage the preparation and negotiation of claims and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements in terms of cost management.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for audit and review purposes.
  • Oversee earthworks and subgrade preparation layer works and pavement construction asphalt surfacing drainage structures and stormwater management and road signage and markings.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
  • Demonstrate indepth knowledge of the FIDIC contract.
  • Have experience applying COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
  • Exhibit strong cost management financial control and forecasting abilities.
  • Must be willing to travel to Limpopo for the project.
  • Experience in road construction projects is advantageous.
