Job Description
Hire Resolves client in the construction industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Quantity Surveyor in Midrand Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all contractual and financial aspects of the project under the FIDIC contract.
- Ensure compliance with COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
- Prepare and monitor project cost estimates budgets and cash flows.
- Conduct cost analysis and financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with the projects contractual obligations.
- Review and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
- Measure and value variations and claims.
- Coordinate with engineers project managers and site teams for cost control.
- Conduct risk analysis and identify potential financial risks.
- Prepare and review procurement strategies and subcontractor agreements.
- Manage the preparation and negotiation of claims and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements in terms of cost management.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for audit and review purposes.
- Oversee earthworks and subgrade preparation layer works and pavement construction asphalt surfacing drainage structures and stormwater management and road signage and markings.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
- Demonstrate indepth knowledge of the FIDIC contract.
- Have experience applying COTO standards and Construction Procurement Guidelines (CPG).
- Exhibit strong cost management financial control and forecasting abilities.
- Must be willing to travel to Limpopo for the project.
- Experience in road construction projects is advantageous.
