Accounts Payable Officer

Part time approx. 0.7FTE

About the Role

Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced Accounts Payable Officer who will provide highlevel support within our Finance Department. This role is integral in ensuring the efficient management of accounts payable processes that support the smooth functioning of our school operations.

This role offers a 5week annual leave entitlement. All staff are entitled to a reduction in tuition fees if applicable. This role requires to be onsite during school terms but offers the option to work from home for a period during school holidays.

Main Duties

1. Accounts Payable: Process creditor invoices and payment in a timely manner including but not limited to process of staff reimbursement and parent refunds.

2. Purchasing & Administration: Raise purchase orders process credit card purchases and general clerical duties.

3. Month End Support: Closing creditor module assist with GL and bank reconciliations and provide expense analysis as required by the Finance Manager.

4. Provide Backup Support: Assisting the Finance team and providing backup support for the Printroom when required.

Competencies Required

  • Proven experience in a similar role particularly in accounts payable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgement and problemsolving abilities.
