The SCADA and Leak Detection Student role supports the Midstream Control Center Operations team by providing engineering data analysis and technical support. Responsibilities include ensuring data quality contributing to SCADA system upgrades and assisting with system troubleshooting and commissioning. The position offers valuable handson experience in industrial control systems programming and process optimization.

What youll do
Perform quality assurance tasks and resolve data discrepancies for control center systems.
Support the commissioning of facilities including documentation and system configuration.
Assist in updating specifications standards and developing new projects.
Participate in technical meetings and record activities with vendors and internal teams.
Conduct technical research and support preventative maintenance and presentations.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canadafulltime for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g. work visa).
Available to begin work in September 2025.
Strong technical problemsolving and data analysis skills.
Effective collaboration and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in software such as MS Office SAP Spotfire and AccuMap.
Education
Must be enrolled in a Computer Engineering Automation or a related field at an accredited postsecondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to fulltime studies after the work termOR registered in an accredited postsecondary coop or internship program for the duration of the work term.
Candidates currently enrolled in either a masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited postsecondary institution may also be considered.
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
Working Conditions
May include frequency of travel sitting standing computer work lifting driving working at site etc.
Safety Sensitive
This may be a safetysensitive role and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore you will also be required to pass the preemployment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.
