About the Job
We are looking for a Power BI Lead Developer with 8 years of experience in designing and developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI and 5 years working with SQL/Database systems
What Youll Do
- Report Development: Design develop and maintain interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Data Modeling & DAX: Develop robust data models in Power BI and write optimized DAX queries for business logic implementation.
- Database and SQL: Make changes to source SQL tables and design data model
- Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI performance by finetuning queries managing large datasets and using best practices in data modeling.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users analysts and data engineers to understand reporting needs and translate them into Power BI solutions.
- Security & Access Control: Implement rowlevel security (RLS) and other access control mechanisms to ensure data privacy and governance.
- Automation & Deployment: Manage Power BI Service (Cloud) workspaces gateways and scheduled refreshes and integrate with Power Automate for automation.
Requirements
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 8 years of experience in Power BI development with a strong understanding of BI concepts.
- Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).
- Strong handson experience in data modeling star schema and dimensional modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction transformation and performance tuning.
- Experience in handling large datasets and optimizing Power BI performance.
- Strong understanding of data security governance and compliance in Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Azure Synapse Azure SQL Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and version control tools like Git is a plus.
- Knowledge of AI/MLpowered analytics in Power BI.
- Experience in integrating Power BI with Python/R for advanced analytics.
