Description of Job

The Procure to Pay department at Colorado School of Mines provides the following services: Accounting Accounts Payable Student Accounting & Billing Contracting & Procurement and Payroll & Employment to the Mines community and its numerous offcampus partners in support of the Universitys mission. This support is governed by the key principles of customer service regulatory compliance and fiscal accountability.

The candidate we select must be able to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently. The right person has experience providing excellent customer service via facetoface interactions telephone and email and should possess outstanding attention to detail organizational problem solving and interpersonal skills along with proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.

Travel ExpenseReporting duties include:

Accounts Payable /Credit card processing duties include:
  • Manage the processing and tracking of invoices received from vendors and suppliers. Verify invoice accuracy obtain necessary approvals and ensure timely payments.
  • Process payments at the request of the department. This includes but is not limited to reviewing backup documentation for appropriateness completeness correctness andfunding availability.
  • Assist campus to reconcile there one card charges in Workday
  • Review backup documentation expense codes and necessary approvals.
  • Provide timely and helpful support to employees regarding expense reporting reimbursement procedures and invoice inquiries. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly andprofessionally.
