Job Description
The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at Virginia Tech is seeking applications for a oneyear fulltime Spanish instructor position starting August 10 2025.
Responsibilities include teaching all levels of Spanish language.
Preferred: Experience teaching introductory literature and culture courses at the undergraduate level as well as a willingness to participate in cocurricular activities. The teaching load is four courses per semester.
Required Qualifications
Requirements include: 1 A minimum of a Masters degree or equivalent in Spanish language literature culture or related field by time of appointment; 2 evidence of successful teaching of Spanish at a US university; 3 commitment to proficiencybased and communicative approaches to teaching language; 4 native or nearnative proficiency in Spanish and English.
