You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a highly skilled Rope Access Welder (Level 1/2 to join our dynamic team in the offshore/onshore oil and gas industry. This role involves performing welding tasks with a primary focus on SMAW 6G welding techniques while using rope access methods to access hardtoreach areas in offshore and onshore environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highquality welding pipe welding plate welding and structural welding services in compliance with industry safety standards and specifications.
As a Rope Access Welder you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful of welding projects contributing to the maintenance and construction of offshore facilities pipelines and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Rope Access Welding:
Perform welding tasks using SMAW 6G welding techniques on a variety of materials including pipes plates and structural components in offshore and onshore settings.
Utilize IRATA Level 1/2 rope access techniques to access difficulttoreach areas including elevated locations confined spaces and hardtoreach zones.
Ensure safe and efficient of welding tasks while following offshore safety protocols.
Welding & Fabrication:
Execute highquality welding operations including pipe welding plate welding and structural welding adhering to industry standards such as API ASME and other relevant certifications.
Conduct welding repairs modifications and fabrication of metal structures ensuring precision and compliance with engineering drawings and blueprints.
Inspect and ensure the quality of welds making sure they meet required specifications and standards.
Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings to carry out welding tasks accurately.
Follow detailed welding specifications and ensure all welding operations meet safety and design requirements.
Qualifications :
Education:
H.S.C. Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Welding Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Certifications:
IRATA Level 1/2 Rope Access Certification (mandatory).
SMAW 6G Welding Certification (e.g. API ASME or equivalent).
OPITOapproved TBOSIET (Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training).
H2S Awareness Certification (mandatory).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including significant experience with SMAW 6G welding.
At least 4 years of experience working in offshore environments with preference for Gulf region experience.
Previous experience in rope access welding is highly preferred.
