Job Description

Position Title: Continuous Improvement Manager

Position Type: Regular FullTime

Position Location: Ballarat

Grade:Grade 05

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will lead and oversee all continuous improvement initiatives within the plant with a focus on driving operational excellence fostering innovation and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the business. The CI Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Continuous Improvement Lead(s) and other key stakeholders utilising Lean Six Sigma and/or other process improvement methodologies. The role aims to significantly enhance productivity reduce costs and instill a culture of continuous improvement across the plants operations.


Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute the plants continuous improvement strategy in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Lead mentor and provide direction to Continuous Improvement Lead(s) and crossfunctional teams in the of improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a key partner to the Plant Leadership Team driving the adoption of continuous improvement culture across all levels.
  • Establish and manage a governance framework for CI projects ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation of Lean Six Sigma and/or other methodologies ensuring the standardisation of best practices across all operations.
  • Monitor and report on CI initiatives progress ensuring that KPIs are met and initiatives deliver measurable improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Engineering Operations Management Business Administration or related field
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (or similar) preferred
  • Advanced qualifications or certifications in continuous improvement methodologies are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
  • Proven ability to manage complex largescale CI projects that deliver measurable outcomes in cost savings efficiency and operational performance.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring crossfunctional teams and continuous improvement professionals.
  • Strong strategic leadership with the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and/or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional problemsolving analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple highpriority projects and adapt to changing priorities.
