Job Description

Job Title:Netter Library Student AssistantDepartment:Netter LibraryStudent Employment Type:Federal WorkStudy (FWS)Responsibilities:
  • Answering basic patron questions
  • Referring patrons in need of professional assistance to Librarians
  • Answering the phone
  • Checkin and checkout of library materials
  • Processing mail
  • Copying and scanning
  • Library database searching
  • Shelving books and journals
  • Shelf reading
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Reliable
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with all library patrons: students staff and faculty
  • Ability to learn new computer programs
  • Capable of following directions and working independently
  • Library experience preferred but not necessary
Hours of Position:
  • Monday Thursday 4pm 8pm
  • Friday 3pm 5pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 12pm 5pm
