Job Description
Perform procedures to repair maintain and inspect hardbanded pipe by utilizing relevant equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Plan coordinate and direct daily job duties with Inspector Helpers
- Train direct and oversee Inspector Helpers on job related duties
- Maintain accurate reporting on equipment being repaired and inspected
- Ensure that all specs and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure that equipment used for hardbanding is in good working condition and inspection equipment is calibrated
- Read and interpret specifications and procedures
- Interpret and record results of inspection and hardband application. Assign status to productions based on interpretations. Determine utility of equipment
- Perform and record nondestructive examination using magnetic particle and visual methods
- Perform sampling of applicable processes. Prepare and conduct appropriate tests and inspections on samples as applicable
- Follow and adhere to all Quality System and HS&E requirements
- Communicate job status with Facility Inspection Manager and all parties involved
