Position Overview

The Customer Service Officer (Senior Teller) helps to manage the daily activities of the branch and is responsible for providing an exemplary customer service experience. The Customer Service Officer assists with new accounts problem resolution account servicing and managing the teller cash drawer. In the absence of the Branch Manager the Customer Service Officer will fill in and complete their daily duties.


Essential Job Functions

  • Process all deposits and withdrawals transactions
  • Open new accounts
  • Completes daily tasks in a timely matter
  • Determines source and resolution of problems through examination of various documents and records
  • Approves transactions and utilizes signing authority within delegated limits
  • Responsible for using good judgment and bank regulations to report unusual and suspicious activity to the BSA Officer or Designee
  • Assists operations staff and management with development and implementation of new policies and procedures
  • Process all courier/mail/ATM and night drop deposits
  • Process all over the counter deposits and withdrawals
  • Process telephone/fax transfers wire transfers and loan payments
  • Balances teller cash drawer
  • Complete research requests for Customers
  • Reconcile Ban Control accounts daily
  • Balances Teller Cash drawer daily and Branch Cash Recap
  • Comply with all AntiMoney Laundering Laws and Regulations
  • Complete file maintenances and changes of addresses
  • Order Checks and Deposit slips
  • Review call back for accuracy
  • Open new accounts for personal and businesses
  • Obtain CIP and proper business documents
  • Verify monthly certifications


Additional Tasks in the Absence of the Branch Manager

  • Verifies and maintains GL and Ban Control balances
  • Completes daily NSF/NonPost Items
  • Completes daily reports
  • Orders cash for the branch & manages shipments
  • Approve deposits
  • Approve Cash Limits
  • Places Reg CC holds and prepare documents
  • Approve outgoing wires
  • Review RDC
  • Review Oasis

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of banking experience
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience
  • 6 months of cash handling experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position the employee is in regular communication is required to use various tools or objects and have the mobility to move about the office. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a fulltime position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5p.m. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand.
