Lead Computed Tomography (CT) Tech

Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 W. Parker Rd. Plano TX 75093
Work hours: FT 36 Hours; Friday Sunday 9:00am 9:30pm
Radiology Department Highlights:
Tenured CT Team
Variety of exams performed
Comprehensive Stroke Center Trauma Center Advanced Cardiac
Fast paced high acuity and volume facility around 120 exams a day
Collaborative Radiologist Group including Interventionalist and Neuro Interventionist
Strong relationship with ED and Nursing
Heres What You Need
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required Or
Associates Degree preferred
Other CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
1 Year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRTCT required or
No experience w/ARRTCT required
ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R upon hire required And
ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT upon hire required And
CMRT Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required And
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
What You Will Do
Participate in employee evaluations and coaching/counseling sessions of assigned areas
Ensure patient satisfaction of assigned areas
Coordinate with other departments when services are requested of assigned areas
Participate in departments budgeting process and supply ordering
Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
Processes and manipulates images analyzes image quality troubleshoots makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS
