FirstHealth of the Carolinas a private notforprofit premier health care network serving the midCarolinas is seeking a Psychiatric Physician Assistant to provide inpatient coverage one to two weekends per month.
Position Highlights
- Hospital employed (W2 PRN position.
- 30 bed adult inpatient unit with average daily census in the mid20s shared between providers.
- Round on patients in the unit and provide hospital and ED consults.
- Excellent clinician collaboration supportive environment.
- Within an hour of Raleigh Fayetteville Greensboro Lumberton and Laurinburg. About two hours from Charlotte.
Qualifications
- PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification.
- May consider an experienced NP with both FNP and PMHNP certifications.
- Strongly prefer 2 years of advanced practice experience in behavioral health.
- Clean background NC licensure NC DEA and AHA ACLS certification required.
