Job Description

Ecolab Pest Elimination has more than 30 years of pest management experience focusing exclusively on the institutional/commercial market segments. Ecolab protect customers employees and business reputation from pest related risk. The Bird Surveyor is part of the Specialty team that seeks out opportunities to help customer eliminate health and safety risks associated with nuisance birds using tailored solutions to solve complex issues.

As a Bird Surveyor you will build & grow profitable client relationships with commercial businesses to protect their brand their facilities and the health and safety of their employees and customers. You will drive sales and attain budget goals by using prospecting cold calling and networking skills to partner with restaurants hospitals hotels retailers food and beverage plants schools and nursing homes to offer the most effective B2B enthusiastic and reactive bird control programmes

Key responsibilities:

  • Prospect and obtain customers to achieve annual new business sales goals

  • Discover sales opportunities and implement sales strategies

  • Partner with our service team corporate account team and intercompany partners to implement best practices to solve customers pest problems

  • Build rapport and nurture relationships with customers and coworkers through professional demeanour and strong listening skills

  • Provide excellent customer service by leading and educating customers throughout the sales process

  • Keep informed of Ecolab product / service offerings and industry conditions to enhance successful customer outcomes

Skills and experience to be successful in this role:

  • Must have a valid full UK drivers license and acceptable record

  • Home office with internet access capability

  • Excellent written & spoken English to collate sales quotes and proposals

  • Able to demonstrate validated results in B2B commercial sales

  • Pest elimination / Bird and / or hotel and restaurant selling experience preferred

  • Excellent organisation / time management skills

  • Validated relationship management and consulting skills

  • Problemsolving ability to resolve customer solutions

  • Confirmed negotiation & strong presentation expertise

  • Strong selfmotivation work towards results and the passion to succeed
