Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Release Manager to join our DevOps team in our Hyderabad office. The Release Manager will be responsible for planning coordinating and overseeing software releases into our AWSbased infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with development QA operations and product teams to ensure reliable efficient and timely software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the endtoend release process including scheduling coordination and of releases across multiple teams and environments.
- Work closely with DevOps Engineering and QA teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment readiness.
- Plan release windows and cycles manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope schedule and quality.
- Maintain and manage release documentation change logs and deployment plans.
- Coordinate and communicate release status and updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Automate and improve release and deployment processes to reduce manual intervention and increase reliability.
- Ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements around releases.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them promptly.
- Monitor postrelease performance and support rollback plans when needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in software release management or a similar DevOpsrelated role.
- Strong handson experience deploying applications into AWS environments (EC2 ECS S3 RDS Lambda etc..
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI/CD AWS CodePipeline or similar.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform CloudFormation) and configuration management tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a bonus.
- Excellent communication coordination and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced collaborative team environment.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certification (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- Experience with incident response and oncall rotations.
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (CloudWatch Datadog Prometheus etc..
