This position provides support to the Specialty Pharmacy Program and other teams to support patient access to
medications. The position is the point of contact for many interdisciplinary teams. The position prioritizes time
sensitive duties is responsible for adhering to standard work and operating with accuracy and accountability.
Provider telephonic outreach and electronic outreach to patients providerspharmacies manufacturer programs and others as needed to complete tasks.
Manage incoming assigned tasks and follow up on assigned tasks over timeto ensure complete resolution.
Cover work assigned to other team members as needed to supportoperations and expected turn around times.
Triage work appropriately to pharmacists technician team membersinterdisciplinary team members.
Utilize the electronic medical record as well as other platforms to gatherinformation and document per team standards.
Job Related KnowledgeSkills and Abilities(Competencies):
Ability to read and understand medicalrelated terms.
Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical mathematics calculations.
Skill at manipulating small objects e.g. needles syringes ampules.
Ability to establish priorities in workflow.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work under supervision of diverse Pharmacists.
Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals and noise. Understand the difference of nonhazardous andhazardous medications; safely handle hazardous medications per regulatory guidelines. Flexibility inscheduling of shift times. Accountability for accuracy associated with performance of the duties to thisposition.
