Job Description

The Role
Ventia are looking to engage an experienced and qualified Electronic Technician to join our team working under the Special Forces Training Facility maintenance contract with the Department of Defence. Reporting to the Electronics Supervisor you will be supporting with varying levels of technical servicing which includes preventative and planned maintenance. Your ability to fault find across a wide range of electromechanical target systems is desirable as this is a handson role supporting Defence Assets.


This is a fulltime permanent position working primarily at Bindoon Training Facility with opportunities to work at Lancelin Defence Training Facility and other locations when required.


Working hours are Monday to Friday 07:00am 03:30pm (with overtime opportunities) 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car is provided for travel to and from the base as well as regional travel when required for work purposes.


The pay rate for the role is $51.38 per hour (includes Tool Allowances).


To be considered for this position you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance repairs and installation of target control systems communications and electronic equipment
  • Operation and support of target systems across all identified ranges
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation standards and Defence policies
  • Minimize disruptions to Special Forces Training and ensure risk management and control


Requirements:

  • WA Drivers Licence
  • Certificate in Electronics / Trade qualified Electronics Technician
  • Experience with faultfinding activates and understanding of circuit boards Highly regarded
  • Prior work history of work in a handson environment
