Job Description

We are looking for an Air and Missile Defense Software Architect to join our team in supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) PO.
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Software Architect will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Mission Command Product Offices Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Futures Capabilities (IFC) product cell.
Your daytoday work will include:
- Acting as a key team member working on the forward edge of new concepts and new Systems of Systems Integration.
- Being responsible for evaluating and developing software approaches to integrate new and existing defense systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
At a minimum you should have:
- US citizenship and residency near Huntsville AL or be willing to relocate.
- An active Secret security clearance.
- A bachelors degree in a STEM field.
- 510 years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading software teams in a large software development environment.
- A strong understanding of air and missile defense concepts.
- Experience with realtime systems and diverse software development.
- Experience with prototyping and integrating new software interface.
- The ability to lead problem identification and resolution for both system design and integration.
- The ability to investigate and present technology solutions to improve performance.
- The ability to assess customer and user needs following agile principles.
- The ability to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement of existing solutions.
- The ability to break down complex ideas into easytounderstand tasks.
- The ability to coordinate needs and priorities with Product and Solution Management.
- The ability to make decisions; display enthusiasm; have independent and critical thinking skills; and display a team attitude.
Required to travel as needed to test sites and equipment locations (up to 25.
You will be highly desirable if you have:
- 1015 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge in IBCS PATRIOT MEADS THAAD C2BMC or AEGIS.
- Experience in Jira/ Confluence.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps technologies concepts SAFe agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Model Based System Engineering.
- Prior Software Architectural/Engineering leadership experience.

Estimated Salary Range:
- Intermediate: $120000 $147000
- Senior: $150000 $180000
The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers including the positions scope and responsibilities as well as the candidates experience education skills and prevailing market conditions.
