Position Summary:
Leads the Professional Services and IT/Software strategy / cost reduction for the AM region. Understands cost drivers and works to reduce expenses. This individual will work with key stakeholders in Software development HR and DE and Purchasing and is responsible to drive understanding of cost reduction opportunities prioritize and remove roadblocks for implementation.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of the Supplier relationship with Astemo including:
- Developing indirect spend synergy strategies across AM region
- Manage and support site contributions to cost reduction database / helping AM sites with updates and coaching to progress initiatives
- Managing cost reduction projects
- Negotiating contractual agreements
- Cost analysis cost reduction strategies market analysis quoting activities
- Long term planning and development of strategic suppliers
- Support / update monthly category reports and AM region activities to GCM (Global Category Manager)
Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze/interpret large amounts of data (costs/supplier proposals)
- Demonstrated strong/effective negotiation & decisionmaking skills
- Strong contract analysis and negotiation skills
- Advanced Excel / PowerPoint knowledge / skill set
- Ability to seek ongoing cost reduction activities to establish meet and exceed goals
- Ability to lead groups and designate responsibilities as needed
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management within the organization
- Ability to handle multiple projects to satisfactorily achieve dept./co. objectives
- Possess high ethical standards of professional conduct and a basic understanding of contract law
- Travel required to domestic and foreign suppliers
Education: Possess a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Associate Degree in Business Administration field and 5 years or more experience
Experience: 510 years industry experience in a Procurement related field.
Job level is determined by various factors such as organization size responsibility career stage and capabilities.

Working conditions:
Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Have ability to work 40 60 hours per week.
Travel: Domestic and some international travel may be required.
