Job Overview
Podar Education Network is seeking a Transport Supervisor for our Kankavli location. This fulltime junior position requires 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transport operations ensuring efficiency and safety of the transportation services provided to our educational institutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in fleet management software to effectively oversee transportation operations and optimize efficiency. (Mandatory skill)
- Proven experience as a transport supervisor with the ability to manage and coordinate daily transport activities successfully. (Mandatory skill)
- Experience in a transport incharge role demonstrating capability in handling logistical challenges and emergency situations. (Mandatory skill)
- Strong understanding of transportation management to effectively oversee and improve transport processes.
- Experience in bus maintenance to ensure vehicles are in safe operable condition and comply with regulations.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with students parents faculty and transportation personnel effectively.
- Attention to detail to monitor transport schedules and report any discrepancies for timely resolutions.
- Exceptional organizational abilities to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities as necessary despite challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily transportation operations to ensure timely and safe transit of students and staff.
- Coordinate with drivers and transport staff to implement efficient transport schedules and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards for all transportation vehicles.
- Monitor transport schedules and performance making adjustments to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Liaise with school administration to align transport services with academic schedules and special events.
- Respond to inquiries or concerns from parents staff or authorities regarding transportation services promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance repairs and transport operations to aid in troubleshooting and planning.
- Supervise and guide transportation staff providing training and support to improve team performance and safety.
