Performance Engineering Lead - Tangerine 220201

Is this role right for youIn this role you will:

• Directly support and execute daytoday performance testing activities within test region and production working with delivery teams and other areas of IT (enterprise architects solutions architects development) to validate performance testing and nonfunctional requirements
• Utilize a variety of testing techniques which support the performance and nonfunctional testing activities single user profiling spike stress endurance failover etc
• Act as key point of contact for the Performance Testing and Engineering Center (PTEC) for delivery teams and other areas of IT in evaluating intake requests and defining initial testing scope as pertaining to Performance across all channels
• Analyzes recommend and implement engineering suggestions to improve efficiencies and increase responsiveness of client project requirements ensure technology is current and up to date with industry standards while maintaining established service levels
• Coach and provide mentorship to performance team members in areas including performance testing strategy test automation and nonfunctional testing approaches as well as the business domain while ensuring the PTEC team is compliant with Tangerine test methodologies and industry best practices
• Oversees the quality of work performed by team members and/or contractors in the planning and of performance and nonfunctional testing
• Manage and lead testing activities across multiple largescale enterprisewide programs/projects for Tangerine that are executed in Waterfall or Agile methodology
• Assess the risks associated with the development aspects of each solution/project and define a performance testing approach and strategy
• Risk Management document testing risks and provide mitigation and contingency plans from testing standpoint
• Develop and maintain continuous performance testing within CICD pipelines and support /maintain performance tests and metrics gathering to ensure system stability and trending analysis
• Collect strategic technical and operational test metrics across testing and production environments. Analyze current defects and test trends and extrapolate data for predictive analysis
• Ensure all test assets results/analysis sign and closure reports are captured within JIRA
• Work with other QE Leads and shared services teams to monitor the status effectiveness efficiency and quality of testing deliverables
• Drive the creation support and ongoing maintenance of the Tangerine Performance Testing and Engineering Center knowledge repository
• Responsible for consolidated test dashboards outlining key metrics and performance KPIs for Senior Management.
• Work under the guidance of the Manager/Sr. Manage and participate in discussions with vendors about testing methodologies tooling resources POCs etc.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role Wed love to work with you if you have:

• University or College Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering
• 8 years of experience working within SDLC/TDLC
• 6 years of testing experience specifically within the Performance testing discipline
• Proficient testing background in the Canadian financial services industry
• Solid understanding of Performance test process methodologies approaches and tools
• Demonstrated ability in managing an onsite offshore resource model
• Extensive experience in test planning and management tooling
• Ability to understand enterprisescale infrastructures and emerging technologies such as DataPower Micro Services Mobile Native Apps Akamai services middleware technologies Various DB services complex networks
• Experience working with cloud technologies such as GCP AWS Anthos
• Solid understanding of web and mobile applications and implementations
• Must have Unix/Linux Intermediate experience
• Must be strong in one of the coding languages: Java JavaScript python etc.
• Knowledge of web services and implementing APIs
• Sound knowledge of SQL / PLSQL stored procedures and SQL Server database
• Solid understanding of hardware utilization and related Garbage Collection and memory footprints
• Expertise in metrics gathering and developing dashboards and reports which clearly and concisely capture and communicate performance testing analysis/results
• Demonstrated competency with various tools including Defect Management Tools Requirement Management Tools Test Management and Planning Tools Web Content Management tools and concepts Banking systems and their integration
• Extensive experience with Performance testing and automation tools such as JMeters LoadRunner Cloudtest Selenium Appium or similar
• Handson experience with Performance engineering and monitoring tools such as SumoLogic Dynatrace Crashlytics etc
• Handson experience within API REST/SOAP testing and experience using related tools Postman ReadyAPI etc
• Experience with CI/CD and related tools and techniques; Jenkins/Dockers/Kubernetes an asset
