Job Description
Job Title: Adjunct Faculty Child Life
Reporting Relationship: Chair Division of Behavioral Sciences
Unit: IWUMarion
Department: Behavioral Science DivIWU Marion
Campus Location:Onsite Marion Indiana
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend and lead all required class sessions
- Promptly assess student coursework and submit via Brightspace (the universitys learning management system)
- Coordinate with Division Chair and/or Academic Dean regarding classroom or student issues in a timely manner
Qualifications:According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- Certification as a Child Life Specialist and Masters degree in a related discipline
Experience
- At least two 2 years field experience as a Child Life Specialist
Required Skills
- Ability to demonstrate a mature personal faith in Jesus Christ
- Interpersonal skills that facilitate relationship building among colleagues and students
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to students in oral and written form
- Proficiency in using computers internet resources MS Office and Learning Management software
- Oral and written comprehension
