PostJudgment Department Team Member
Location: Farmington Hills MI (Onsite)
About the Firm:
We are a dynamic highenergy law firm based in Farmington Hills Michigan with a focus on Consumer and Commercial Collections across multiple states. Our PostJudgment Department is seeking motivated team members who have strong attention to detail and are dedicated to helping collect on courtawarded judgment debt. While this is not a call center position effective telephone communication with courts process servers and defendants is a key part of the role. This is primarily a Legal/Administrative position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file legal documents.
- Review cases and manage courtawarded judgment debt collection processes.
- Follow up with court clerks and manage case inventories.
- Address garnishee and/or consumer inquiries as needed.
- Communicate with courts process servers and defendants via phone.
- Assist in identifying and executing collection opportunities.
Candidate Attributes:
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Wellorganized and able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Experience and Education:
- Professional office experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is preferred.
- Experience working with project deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook).
- Experience in the legal field is a plus.
- Experience with consumer interaction is a plus.
- Being a Notary Public is a plus.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Pay: $13.00 $15.00 per hour depending on experience plus a meaningful team bonus opportunity.
- Schedule: Fulltime 8hour shifts Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required during monthend periods.
