About this position:
The Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection AuthorityEast (FPAE) is the governing authority for the Orleans Levee District East Jefferson Levee District and Lake Borgne Basin Levee District and is responsible for the oversight of the hurricane protection system Mississippi River Levee system and internal levees for Orleans (East Bank) Jefferson (East Bank) and St. Bernard Parishes. The hurricane protection system includes over $7 billion improvements and new construction under the Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction Project (HSDRRS). FPAE is also responsible for the administrative financial operations and maintenance and police functions of the levee districts under its jurisdiction.
The incumbent serves as the assistant and administrator for the Board of Commissioners and may assist the legal department as requested by Executive Counsel. This position reports to the Executive Counsel.
