Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently recruiting for an experienced Plastic Extrusion Mechanic/Technician to join a wellestablished company in Durban. As a Plastic Extrusion Mechanic/Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of plastic extrusion machinery.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating plastic extrusion machines to produce highquality products
- Daily weekly and monthly preventative maintenance as per schedules
- Breakdown repair work and fault finding
- Procurement of parts
- Maintaining spare parts and stock levels
- Assisting with fine tuning of production line
The successful candidate for this role should have a solid background in plastic extrusion and machinery maintenance. Strong technical skills problemsolving abilities and attention to detail are essential for this position.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plastic extrusion preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of plastic extrusion machinery and processes
- Experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong technical skills and ability to read technical drawings
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
