Job Description
Overview
Monterey Park Hospital a 101acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgery Unit. This is a fulltime 8hour evening shift 3pm11pm) position reporting to the Director of Surgical Services.
Responsibilities
The operating room nurse is a registered nurse who uses specialized knowledge and skills in the care of patients and families undergoing operative and invasive procedures. The OR RN uses the nursing process to assess plan diagnose and evaluate patient care while providing circulating and/or scrub professional nursing services. The OR RN is responsible for providing a safe efficient and caring environment one in which the surgical team can function and in which the outcome for the patient is as positive as possible. Provides circulating and/or scrub nurse services in the operating room during surgical procedures and assists surgical team as needed in any other capacity according to established procedures.
Qualifications
- BSN Preferred.
- Oneyears acute care hospital experience in the Operating Room preferred.
- Current CA RN license required.
- Current BLS (AHA) required.
- PALS and ACLS (AHA) required within 2 months of employment.
