PacAeros core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the worlds most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee WA with a remote manufacturing site Bonded Metals located in Sequim WA. Working together we employ proprietary technologies best practices engineering and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the worlds most extreme environments. PacAeros products are hard at work in medical components such as cardiacfunction devices on key aerospace & defense programs in space and deep below the earths surface.
The Position:
PacAero is looking for a Process Engineer for our plating department. This individual will apply advanced engineering techniques evaluate technical and economic factors and implement engineering and manufacturing actions that improve the performance of a new stateoftheart plating department under guidance of a manager or other senior staff members. Additionally an employee in this position will conduct process improvement or product development projects to attain yearoveryear reduction in defect rates while meeting/exceeding specifications detailed in engineering drawings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide principal investigation skills in process/product improvement and development.
- Develop testing plans to improve critical processes.
- Document all testing results and other information pertinent to the process.
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Perform engineering assignments that involve product design process studies production tooling testing of materials preparation of specifications and research investigations.
- Prepare and conduct tests of plating processes to investigate possible failure modes for improving products.
- Assist in evaluation testing validation and implementation of plating processes with appropriate work instructions.
- Review plans for new products and processes and make recommendations to ensure attainment of design objectives.
- Interact with production staff to minimize/solve plating obstacles.
- Perform root cause analysis on specific issues to identify a sustainable corrective action.
- Verify production and product meets required specification.
- Be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings to understand the requirements.
- Under minimal direction plan and execute testing experiments test parameters and collection of data.
- Ability to generate creative solutions and translate those concepts and information into images and/or work instructions.
- Ability to coordinate projects and complete them ontime and within budget.
- Ability to read analyze and interpret drawings technical procedures or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals and instructions.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to managers and other company personnel customers and the general public.
- Gather and analyze information to produce product; develop alternative solutions when needed. Use experience to complement data.
- Work well in group problem solving situations.
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and be able to explain the reasons for them.
- Display willingness to make decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word Excel etc..
- Ability to research and understand complex topics to further ones understanding of an issue or to aid in trouble shooting.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (B.S. or equivalent from a fouryear college or university in an engineering discipline four or more years related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
