The Vice President Supply Chain is responsible for strategic planning of goals collaboration and communication for effective implementation and smooth processes for all aspects of supply chain including processes for contractual compliance value analysis purchasing and materials/distribution for the Health System. Measurements of success include supply cost per adjusted patient day supply fill rate compliance metrics and productivity benchmarking.
Responsibilities
1. Leads or oversees directors/managers of various functions of supply chain including operations materials management distribution value analysis purchasing contracting and inventory data management systems. 2. Ensures planning and targeting for supply cost improvement including contractual compliance and utilization control. This includes compliance and collaboration through a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). 3. Ensures there are processes and communication flow for collaboration of product evaluation and to optimize the value versus cost of supplies used across the Health System. This includes substantial coordination throughout the organization and leadership of product and relevant process standardization across the organization including interaction with physicians and clinicians 4. Assures optimization of supply distribution processes including fill rate and cost to achieve such distribution. including Mail Courier and Centralization of Items and services from the Offsite Distribution Center. 5. Ensures there are processes in place for timely evaluation and placement of purchase requests loading of contractual files inventory management and support of nonstoreroom inventory activities across other departments.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelors degree and Masters degree Preferred: MBA/MHA in related field
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Must have at least 710 years of experience in supply chain leadership role in an integrated healthcare system. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Preferred: Certified Professional through the Association of Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) through the National Purchasing Managers Association
