Automotive Service Technician
Want to become a part of a successful Service Department want to work for the fastest growing Family owned Car Dealer group in Central Texas and Work in a climate controled shop.
Automotive Service Technician Job Requirements
- Verifiable Training and Certifications
- Team Oriented
- Must Pass Background and Drug Screen
- Must have valid drivers license and pass motor vehicle record test
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience as an automotive technician
- Attention to detail
- Organization and followup skills
- Valid instate drivers license and have and maintain an acceptable safe driving record
What are the daytoday responsibilities
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair if authorized by the Customer.
- Conducting multipoint inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
- Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Maintaining an inventory of normal Technicians tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as special tools.
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factorysponsored training classes as appropriate.
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

Functions as a skilledlevel technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has previously worked as an Auto Service Technician;

This position interacts daily with Customers Service Advisors other Technicians Parts Associates Cashiers Sales Associates and Managers just to name a few.
Automotive Service Technician Physical Demands
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Typically may bend stoop lift or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds.
