Job Description
Location: Randburg South Africa
Job Overview:
Hire Resolves client in the renewable energy field is currently seeking a Wind Turbine Generator Supervisor to join their team in Randburg. The successful candidate will play a crucial role within the management team and oversee wind turbine generator installation through supervision including monitoring and evaluating project activities onsite on behalf of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active participation in site meetings and conducting inspections of equipment and installations
- Ensuring compliance of equipment and installations with specifications standards and designs through thorough inspections
- Contributing to progress reports on quality time and budget
- Maintaining quality control systems
- Verifying payment milestones
- Reviewing verifying and providing comments on reports drawings etc.
- Reviewing and monitoring procedures for safe rigging preservation and storage of WTG components on site; reporting any nonconformance
- Coordinating activities
- Participating in commissioning and Factory Acceptance Tests
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Mechanical or Electromechanical qualification
- Experienced millwrights will be also be considered or the position
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the construction field and at least 5 years of experience as a wind turbine technician/engineer for installation or serving of wind turbines
- Experience in a Owners Engineer role will be advantageous
- Knowledge of local and international standards construction processes best practice and legislation
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel
