We are seeking a experienced Real Estate Underwriter II to join our team. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving or rejecting portfolio real estate applications including valuations and withdrawn/denied files and assist the Consumer Underwriters as needed.
**Responsibilities:**
Review loan applications and supporting documentation to determine creditworthiness
Analyze financial statements credit reports and other relevant information to assess risk
Ensure loan files are complete and accurate in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Communicate decisions and recommendations to loan officers and other stakeholders
Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters as needed
Stay uptodate on industry trends regulations and best practices in real estate underwriting
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency in the underwriting workflow.
**Qualifications:**
Bachelors degree in finance business or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in real estate underwriting
Strong knowledge of underwriting principles and guidelines
Knowledge of FNMA / FHLMC guidelines
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working hours:
Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm
