The Large Power Systems Division currently has an opening for a Project Manager in the Design to Order (DTO) Project Management team located in Lafayette IN. In this role you will develop collaborative relationships with engineering teams customers dealers suppliers and other functional groups to ensure project goals are achieved.
The DTO Project Manager is responsible to manage all activities necessary to meet the customers expectations for quality cost and delivery of a DTO Project. DTO Custom Packages are used on C9C280 Engine Platforms. These Projects serve the Oil & Gas Marine and Electric Power Markets. This person will work with Marketing and Dealers to quote and secure custom package orders.
What you will do:
- Project Manage DTO orders to meet delivery quality and cost objectives
- Communicate to global customers dealers suppliers team members and other business units
- Facilitate Customer Witness testing of custom projects.
- Change order support and data analytics
- Work with Engineering Operations and Supply Chain to schedule DTO Projects and special testing.
- Proven ability to perform complex assignments prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education:
- Bachelors degree OR equivalent relevant experience preferred

Process Management: Level Working Knowledge
Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand monitor update control or enhance existing business or work processes.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Level Working Knowledge
Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Technical Excellence: Level Working Knowledge
Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Summary Pay Range:
$87480.00 $131280.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
