Job Description

Role: Mechanical Engineer Surveyor Crane / Lift Dunbar

Location:Home based with daily travel to one key client site located in Dunbar 4 days per week with 5th day spent at various different client sites. We aim to minimise travel where possible and offer localised geographical areas.

Role Purpose

To carry out high quality inspections ensuring various lifting equipment(MEWPS HIAB Cranes FLTs)is compliant with current regulatory and statutory requirements underLOLER & PUWER Predominately as a site based Engineer Surveyor at a key client site in Dunbar 4 days P/W 5th day in the field at various client locations.To operate within agreed authorities inspection and H&S standards with a clear customer focus and drive to achieve optimal service delivery.

To produce and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritass best in class tools for onsite reporting and immediate client access to keep abreast of changes in relevant standards and legislation acting as an advisor to highprofile clients and to deliver customer excellence operating in the professional friendly and authoritative manner expected of all clientfacing Bureau Veritas surveyors

As you would expect from a globally trusted inspection provider Bureau Veritas holds several accreditations and complies with regulations includingUKASaccreditationSAFedmembership andSAFed Standard SS01 compliance.

Candidate requirements for Mechanical Inspection roles are:

  • MinimumNVQ4 HNC HNDor equivalent mechanical engineering qualification
  • LEEAqualifications are unfortunately not applicable on their own but they are preferred alongside a relevant mechanically biased engineering qualification
  • Minimum three to five years post qualification experience working with relevant discipline specific equipment
  • Current Clean UK driving license
