This position provides support to civil engineering projects in planning design and phases. Role will assist the regional manager / professional geotechnical engineer / construction project management with site visits data collection CAD drawings construction progress reports civil engineering investigations and project coordination for wireless wireline and EV charger site projects. | Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Minimum completion of 3 years in the BEng Civil Engineering university degree program
- Completion of Technical Communications II course;
- Strong desire to work in the office and in the field;
- Strong desire to gain experience in telecommunications project experience;
- NS (Provincial) Drivers License and clean driving record; and
- Canadian resident with necessary permit or citizenship to work in Canada.
Preferred - Completion of Soil Mechanics and Construction Materials & Methods courses;
- Experience working in a project environment;
- Experience with teams either sports and/or work history;
- Desire to work in the telecommunications industry; and
- Willingness to crosstrain and support other company divisions.

| Supervisory Responsibilities N/A | Essential Functions Working with a Professional Civil Engineer and Construction Manager on projects related to wireline and wireless telecommunications structures: - Negotiate pricing and manage subcontractors as it to pertains to small cell node construction;
- Work to identify new resources as required by the project for suppliers and subcontract labour;
- Issue or oversee issuance of vendor purchase orders to both suppliers and subcontractors as needed for projects;
- Compile and submit matrix pricing bids with assistance of project coordinator as needed by client(s);
- Procure materials as needed for projects including purchasing and delivery;
- Responsible for scheduling field activities through either inhouse or subcontract labour resources and report schedule to client(s);
- Responsible for updating client(s) trackers daily/weekly for various stages of completion based on field schedule;
- Attend weekly conference calls with client(s) to provide progress updates;
- Identify critical issues that may impact/delay overall project timeline and work with supervisor to present solutions to client(s);
- Troubleshoot unforeseen site challenges with the assistance of supervisor and/or senior staff;
- Prepare preliminary deliverables with assistance of/for review by supervisor and/or senior staff;
- Manage project coordinator(s) to oversee administrative duties (permit submittals purchase order requests etc.;
- Effectively communicate with Division Manager and/or Regional Director on regular basis regarding schedules status productivity and performance;
- Establish and maintain good relations with clients partners and local authorities aimed at safeguarding the public and promoting client(s) interests;
- Provide daydayto production support for project issues; and
- Be willing to travel up to 30.
| Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk use hands and fingers to feel and handle reach with arms and hands talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stoop kneel and crouch lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds. Work is completed both indoors and outdoors in all seasons. Work may be conducted in active construction sites. The successful applicant must have a pair of CSA approved steeltoed boots in good working condition. Additionally the successful applicant is responsible for providing outdoor apparel for all weather conditions. Boots and outdoor apparel will not be provided by TEP Canada. | Work Environment Approximately 70 performed in a climatecontrolled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 30 travel may be required in support of the positions responsibilities.
