GAI is seeking an Senior EIT 1transmission line) to join our Power Delivery team. Required skills include transmission line design experience critical thinking problemsolving organization team focus and eagerness to apply learned engineering principles to solve reallife problems. The successful candidate will be eligible for a GAI signon bonus if applying without the use of an outside recruiting agency.
The Senior EIT 1 is responsible for technical leadership and the successful delivery of transmission line designs while maintaining the scope schedule budget and quality of projects within GAIs Transmission & Distribution Division. This individual should be technically focused and a strong leader with developed technical communication and computer skills.
General Characteristics:
- Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
- Evaluates selects and applies standard techniques procedures and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features.
- Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.
- Applies principles of probability and statistics to determine risk relevant to engineering.
- Candidates with a minimum of 1year of experience and knowledge in PLSCADD are eligible for remote work.
- Candidates without PLSCADD knowledge need to be based at any GAI office onsite or on a hybrid schedule.
Minimum Years of Experience
Education:
Certification/Licensure
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineerintraining (EIT) or engineeringintern (EI) certification.
Technical Responsibilities
- Performs moderate design tasks.
- Prepares portions of plans specifications and other project documents.
- Performs research and field investigation.
Project and Task Management
- Works as a part of a team and coordinates work with others.
- Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.
Management Responsibility
- Receives instruction on specific objectives.
- Receives direction on unconventional and/or complex problems and possible solutions.
- Receives a thorough review of completed work for the application of sound professional judgment.
- Receives mentorship from a licensed engineer typically in their specialty.

- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates assertiveness and cooperation in managing conflicts.
- Interacts with internal and external project team members.
- Assists with official communication pertaining to specific assignments/meetings.
