About the Role:
The firm is seeking a seasonedSenior Architectto join their team and lead complex projects from concept through completion. As a key member of the leadership team you will guide project teams mentor junior staff and act as a liaison with clients consultants and contractors. Your extensive experience in design and technical detailing will ensure that every project meets the highest standards of excellence innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership:Drive the creative vision for projects ensuring alignment with client goals and firm values.
- Project Management:Oversee all project phases from initial concept development to construction administration maintaining schedules budgets and quality standards.
- Team Collaboration:Lead multidisciplinary project teams mentoring and inspiring junior staff to excel in their roles.
- Client Engagement:Build and maintain strong client relationships acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Excellence:Develop and review detailed construction drawings and specifications ensuring constructability and compliance with all regulations.
- Construction Administration:Address RFIs site instructions and submittals while conducting site visits to monitor progress and quality.
- Regulatory Compliance:Demonstrate an indepth knowledge of BC building codes municipal bylaws and permitting processes to guide projects through approval stages.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A professional degree in Architecture and registration with the AIBC (or eligibility).
- 10 years of experience in architecture firms with a robust portfolio of civic multifamily mixeduse / international projects considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential with additional skills in AutoCAD SketchUp and rendering tools considered an asset.
- Expertise in project management contract administration team leadership and client engagement.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems materials and detailing.
- Excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
- A passion for sustainable and communitydriven design.
